Interior Design
What does an interior designer do?
We can help you choose colour schemes, furniture and art. Advise on co-ordinating fabrics and overall style. We can suggest slight changes to your room to make it more functional, such as fitted units or larger windows. We can look at upgrades to power, telephone and water supplies if needed. We can draw up plans, source materials and furnishings, and arrange subcontractors to carry out any necessary works. We can supervise the entire process until the curtains have been hung and the sofa has been positioned!
We have the knowledge and experience to bring your ideas to life, but we know you do too- the truth is we can do as much or as little as you like!
What happens when I meet with a designer?
Firstly, we could either meet for a chat in our showroom over a coffee and discuss your requirements or we can come out to your home, get a feel for the space, an understanding of your requirements and see any pieces you may want to keep.
We then suggest that you visit (or revisit!) our showroom in Guadalmina, where we have a large selection of fabrics, wallpapers and furniture suppliers- here we will work together to develop your ideas further and come up with a scheme for your space.
What will this cost?
Nothing. We offer free design consultations and at no stage do we charge for our time- we work like a furniture store, only with the guidance of expert interior designers and project managers! In fact, our free advice may stop you making costly mistakes!
And then what?!
After this we will send you a quotation for your scheme- we will then go over this and add/amend until you are happy with everything!
Upon finalising your scheme, we will advise on the schedule for delivery and installation- this is usually between 4-8 weeks, depending on the work involved.
Once you are ready to proceed, we ask for 50% deposit to place your orders and get the ball rolling.
Whilst waiting for your orders to arrive, your curtains, blinds and/or soft furnishings will be hand-made in our workroom to your specification.
Once we have received everything in our warehouse we ask for a further 40% payment. Our team will then come out to you and paint, wallpaper, hang, lay and deliver all elements of your new room (this will usually take place over no more than 5 working days.)
The entire process will be supervised by our designers and project managers- before being signed off by Richard Lewis and handed over to you- you then have 10 days to make your final payment.
